Melanie Penn
Melanie Penn has served as the Survivor Relationship Coordinator since Surviving 3.6 Inc's inception in 2020. As a mother who tragically lost her daughter, Charnesha J. Penn to senseless gun violence, she understands the immense pain and difficulty of navigating life after losing a child. Her personal experiences have fueled her dedication to advocating for change and supporting others who have experienced similar tragedies. Melanie is deeply passionate about the organization's mission to support those who have experienced similar losses. Melanie is committed to providing empathy, understanding, and resources to others in similar situations. Melanie's strength, compassion and resilience makes her a valuable member of Surviving 3.6 Inc.
In addition to her role with Surviving 3.6 Inc, Melanie is also a loving mother and grandmother. She spent 20 years working in the healthcare industry. She made a difficult decision to retire early following the loss of her daughter.
