Tammy Steele
Tammy Steele is the Founder and Executive Director of Surviving 3.6 Inc. In the wake of the unimaginable tragedy of losing her daughter, Tamara White to murder, Tammy knew if God allowed such tragedy the purpose surrounding her experience was much bigger than her. Through many sleepless nights, Tammy struggled to find a way to navigate through her own sorrow. After securing a mental health clinician she managed her grief by starting a nonprofit organization for other mothers who have lost children to tragedy.
Tammy graduated from Faulkner University with a degree in Business Administration. For the last 20 years, Tammy has worked for a number of nursing home and assisted-living facilities in the Mobile area. Tammy is the wife of Eric Steele Sr. and the mother of three adult children, Tamara, Calvin and Tenia. She also has three bonus children. Tammy has three grandchildren KJ (Tamara's only child whom she raises as her own), Rhyan and Kynlee. Tammy has six bonus grandchildren. She is a mother to her loving fur baby Trixie.
When Tammy is not working or running this thriving organization, she is spending time with her family. Tammy and her family are members of Word In Season Ministries in Mobile, AL.
